This was Mr. Baby's bouncer.
Now it's new baby's bouncer.
Mr. Baby is not happy about it.
Actually, I don't think he realizes it used to be his. He's just not happy about
all things new baby in general.
So what does he do?
I'll tell you. When I've got my back turned, and baby is quietly sleeping in bouncer, Mr. Baby Original will run
and pull the back of the bouncer almost to the ground and then let it go.
Mr. Baby New goes sky high.
Not all the way sky high but pretty close a couple times.
I have lectured, yelled, grabbed, done everything I can think of.
Still. He does it.
How long will this last?

In other things, I'm hoping to get back on the reader of the week track and writing track. I've made numerous
goals and we'll see if I can actually move towards them this week.
I also have a neighbor who called to tell me she'd been to lunch with  some real live working writers (including my dear friend Sara) this week. They get together once a week and write together for the whole day.
THE WHOLE DAY!
Lucky.

I think I'm a faker. Actually, I know I am. I've known it all my life. It's been my biggest fear, getting discovered for the faker that I am.
Now, will all the excuses I can use, it's still inevitable.
If you know what I'm talking about, yikes. If you don't, good. Forget I said anything.

We missed the Office because of the lack of cable thing. I'm sad.
Hopefully it will be online.
We watced Mad Men on DVD instead.
Currently it's Mad Men and Burn Notice--one episode of one of them every other night.
Which one do I like better?

You're not a faker.

That's the sleep deprivation talking.

Yeah. What she said. :)

Poor Mr. Baby. It's hard. It'll get better. I don't know when, but it will. Hang in there!

It was fun to have an Ann Dee ambassador at lunch. Though of course we would also like the real thing.
We don't have cable but we saw the office. Old houses in our neighborhood, still antennae up. It was good.
I love Mad Men almost as much as life itself, even when the adultery gets old.

The adultery does get old. We thought about buying a antennae. Maybe we still will.

Umm, yeah, you should come have lunch here sometime. I think it's going to be awhile before I can actually be a normal person. I wish we were going to be in Texas together.

Sounds like you've got the makings of a picture book there: Baby Launch! (or something)

Best of luck working things out with Mr. Baby.

My mom and I are visiting my little brother in Connecticut at the moment and I read them your entry. We laughed and laughed because as soon as we got to my brothers house and I sat in his recliner he tipped it and tried to pour me out. Trust me, Ann Dee, it never ends.

I'm afraid the older-sibling-jealousy hasn't ended with mine yet. Vivi is over it, Van is still having issues. The only advice I can give is try your best to protect the youngest from accidental-older-sibling-induced injury.

We have that same bouncer, the one with the bird that flips around and the monkey presenting its mirrored posterior for baby to peer into. It the only bouncer on the market that lets a baby spank the monkey and flip you the bird! :D

I have never thought of that. I love it. I'm now very glad we bought such an appropriate bouncer.

I feel for you, Sister! Guess when New Baby gets old enough to play with Mr. Baby then things will calm down a bit. :) Have fun and watch close, until then....
